Deal Maker, part 2 "The Deal"

For a moment, the woman just stared up at the man, searching his eyes and trying to see into his soul. She had heard it all before. Desperate men, greedy men, lustful men, all claiming they had no other choice for their actions. Not that she cared, it was her job to collect deals and gain souls for Hell. A job she was quite good at.

Looking at this man though, she could believe every feeling behind his words.

Her hand slowly dropped off his chest and she side stepped him to walk past his side, eyes looking out in to the dark, turning this over in her head. "A most interesting request indeed." She thought to herself as she worked in her mind the best way to achieve her end. After several more quiet minutes, the woman turned to see the man had not moved an inch. "Alright then Romeo, here is my offer for you." she started, the man now turning to face her as she spoke. "You will be possessed by a demon, a minor one that isn't too strong, but would allow you to reap what ever carnage you wish for your beloved Juliet." The woman then smiled, "Just remember to be smart and sneaky enough to not get caught doing the lovely carnage I imagine you will be doing."
The woman moved back up to the man, walking two fingers up his chest, watching them as she explained the next part. "In exchange, since it will be quite tough to convince a demon to possess you, but allow you to be in the driver seat, you will only get..." she paused for a moment. "Three years, and then your soul comes to us and that demon gets your body." She looked up at him, most curious to catch his reaction to her words.

Much to her surprise and disappointment, there was none.

"It's a pretty good deal darlin', most people don't get supernatural help for what they wish to do." She explained, reaching up to stroke his cheek, feeling his jaw tighten under her touch. This only made her smile wider. "Take a moment, think on it cowboy."

The man's mind spun at the words. He knew it actually was not a very fair deal. Then again, he knew what he was talking to and did not expect anything fair in return for his request. All that mattered was her, and making her free. His soul, his life, they did not matter. The man let out a long breath, on the verge of accepting the damning terms when he suddenly felt a strong presence appear behind him. The feeling coinciding with a very audible gasp from the woman infront of him, her eyes growing quite wide.

"Master, wh...what are you doing here?"

The man turned to regard the new character to show in the area. It was another man, tall and very good looking, and dressed in a very fine and expensive looking suit. His face was clean shaven and hair slicked back. His hands were shoved into his pant pockets, given him an almost non-caring attitude. "Relax my dear, I'm only here because this particular deal interest me. In fact, I'd like to offer my own deal to this man." The new man slowly walked forward, each step leaving burnt footprints on the road. The woman backed away at his approach, head bowed "Yes master."
A most vicious of smirks crossed the new man's lips.
"You see, I know all about this particular fellow's situation and what you offered him just wouldn't get the job done." The new man with burning footsteps stopped a few yards away, hands coming out of his pockets to clasp behind his back. "What do you mean?" the deal asker replied, "What do you mean that you know about my situation?"

The master regarded him for a moment.

"The place you speak of, where your young lady is, is a place ruined by a group of renegade demons. A particularly annoying group at that, who I would love to see removed from the chess board." Now the man's eyes widened upon hearing that. Demons. A town ruled by demons. Seemed like demons everywhere now he thought. The master smiled, almost as if he could read the mortal man's mind. "Here is my counter deal. You said you would bare any damnation for this girl, so here is your chance to prove that." The master started pacing back and forth as he talked, "I will offer you a chance to rid this town of it's demons." A small chuckle at his punny humor. "Come with me and partake in an experiment I've been trying. If you successfully survive the experiment, you will be more powerful than an entire gang of demons, with more than enough strength to slay this group and save your love."

The master stopped to regard the man. The man looked back at him.

"Sounds too good to be true. What is it you want in return?" The man asked cautiously, expecting to hear more than just 'survive an experiment'. The master replied, "Don't get me wrong, no one has fully survived my experiment. Most die outright, and the few that make it are simply broken bodies of no use to me. Your chances are rather slim, but a chance you do stand." The man took a moment to ponder that as the master continued, "Oh, and by the way, the experiment is quite painful and could take awhile. Should it succeed though, you will be almost a god on earth." A wicked smile appeared. "When you are on earth that is, for you would be my personal instrument, carrying out all my...dirty work."

"What does that mean for her?" The man asked, eyes turning to rest on the well dressed form the master again.

"Well, you will have freed her from the demons that hold her, and you will even be able to do some minor healing for things that can be healed." the master replied. The man chewed his tongue for a moment, thinking, "Will I be able to see her after I am done with the town?" The master laughed in amusement, loving the insane confidence this man had. "Possibly, if she wants to see you after I am done with you and after you get done slaughtering part of a town, Ha!"

"But I have a chance?" The final question came quietly, with a solid resolve behind it.

"Yes my dear boy, you will have a chance. A small chance, but a chance, which is much better than she would have given you." The master glanced at the woman, causing her to quiver noticeably. "What do you say? Do we have a deal?"
For most men, this would have required much thought and even then, the majority would have passed and moved on. Not this man, his mind already was made up. All that was needed was the damning words.

"Deal."

The Devil smiled upon hearing those words, already feeling quite good about this man's chances on transforming and becoming his own personal Reaper. A blade of wicked light appeared in the Devil's hand, which he then offered to the man. "Good, here is your first test. Slay her, " he instructed, pointing to the crossroad demon with a wicked grin, "if you can."

Not only was there no hesitation from the man in taking the blade and turning to face the shocked red eyed woman, it was also no contest on him preforming his first task.

A minute later, the man turned to look back at the Devil, blade pulsing in his hand.

"Next."
